Mission Homes
Mission is a fashionable neighbourhood located in Calgary's SW quadrant. The area was originally developed by the Catholic Church and known as Rouleauville, and its founding father hoped that the area would preserve Francophone culture in the area. In 1907 Rouleauville was annexed to the City of Calgary and the area's French culture slowly became replaced by that of its English inhabitants.
Presently, Mission is a popular neighbourhood predominantly populated with condominiums. Young professionals love this area because it is within walking distance to downtown and 17th Avenue.
